St. Edward's University Athletics

Wheeler was a three-year letterwinner for the Hilltoppers from 1991 to 1993. During his three years, he put up some impressive numbers, scoring 1,690 points, which puts him fourth on the all-time scoring list. He is the career leader in scoring average, tallying 20.1 points per contest. Wheeler was a three-time all-conference performer and was also named all-region twice and first-team all-America his senior season. After graduation, Wheeler enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He now holds the rank of staff sergeant.
