St. Edward's Athletics Hall of Fame
Julio was the number one singles and doubles player at SEU form 1964 to 1967. During his years at St. Edward’s, he won 32 tournaments, the James L.J. Kard Sportsmanship Trophy, and the Burke O’Rourke Challenge Trophy. He was the National Singles Tennis Champion of Costa Rica seven times and won the Bronze Medal at the Pan American Games in Caracas, Venezuela in 1958. A 1967 graduate with a degree in Marketing, he currently resides in Delray Beach, Fla. and is the vice president for Drinks International Management.
