From 1970 to 1974 “Zeke” Everett was named an All-Conference basketball player and was an integral part of the 1971 Big State Championship team. He was named the conference’s Most Valuable Player for three years. In 1974, he broke the single-game scoring record at St. Edward’s University, with a total of 46 points and held the record for the most career points in St. Edward’s University basketball history at the time. Everett was also a member of the baseball team as a relief pitcher, where he posted a 6-6 record and a career ERA of 2.82. He graduated with a degree in history in 1974.
