Linn was an assistant coach for volleyball and women’s basketball, and was also fundraising coordinator for women’s athletics. As a professor, Linn was a Psychology Department Chairman, she won the SEU Teaching Excellence Award (1974, 1983), and SEU Distinguished Career Teaching Award in 2004. In the community she was on the Austin City Council (1975-77), founded the Pecan Street Festival, started the Move Downtown movement, and resurrection of the Sixth Street District.
